  • mediaReach OMD Nigeria Managers Undergo Training in Advanced Goal-Setting Techniques

    On June 30 2018, 21 mediaReach OMD Nigeria managers participated in a one – day Managing Performance and Reward Workshop designed and facilitated by Human Edge Limited.

     The workshop, which is part of the Human Edge POLCON management development series, was intended to equip participants with advanced goal-setting skills.

    It also provided participants with the opportunity to work together to identify and resolve some of the performance management challenges currently facing the agency.

    According to the lead facilitator, Mr. Folarin Longe of Human Edge, the workshop gave participants the tools required to address one of the biggest  challenges in performance management  – how to vertically align strategic goals and objectives with individual performance goals or KPIs.

    Mr. Longe, who is also the HR Advisor to OMG trademark companies in West and Central Africa, further explained that pursuing this kind of alignment was necessary because all too often KPIS are created without reference to an organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

    When this happens he said, “People may be quite busy working towards well-constructed KPIS, but their efforts will not lead to outcomes or results that matter strategically and move the organization forward.”

    The program was co-facilitated by Mr. Osah Aruoture of the consulting firm’s Staffing Services division.

  • Human Edge Organizes a Leadership Forum and Visioning Workshop for Ajumogobia & Okeke

    Management and staff of Ajumogobia and Okeke (A&O), one of Nigeria’s leading full service law practices, recently participated in a Leadership Forum and Visioning Workshop at the Training and Conference Centres, Ogere, Ogun State.

    The three-day event (12th – 14th January, 2018) was attended by all employees, including those from the firm’s Abuja and Port Harcourt branch offices.

    According to Mr. H. O. Ajumogobia, A & O’s senior partner, the two-day Visioning Workshop was an opportunity for members of the firm to “reflect on where we’re coming from and where we’re going to.”

    Partners and other members of the firm’s leadership team participated in the one-day Leadership Forum during which a number of strategic business issues were deliberated upon.

    Both the Leadership Forum and Visioning Workshop were designed and facilitated by Human Edge Limited.

    Mr. Folarin Longe, HE’s chief executive and lead facilitator at the Retreat, noted that A & O was one of the firm’s oldest clients and that the two professional firms had been ‘partners’ since 1995.

    Mr. Longe also commended the leadership of A & O for recognizing the need to refresh the firm’s vision and review it’s business strategy to meet the changing demands of the times.

    The Role

    Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be expected to identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining a high-level of service and support to the firm’s existing clientele.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Identifying new markets and growth opportunities for the firm
    • Making presentations and preparing proposals, bids and other sales initiatives required for effective business development
    • Closing sales and achieving set sales targets
    • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients

    The Person

    • Aged 27 – 32 years
    • Degree-qualified; an I.T. background will be an added advantage
    • 3-5 years’ cognate experience in marketing technical products and services to technical buyers
    • Proven track record in developing new business and meeting ambitious sales targets
    • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Holder of a valid driver’s license

    Human Edge organized it’s third POLCON Management Development Workshop for Tequila Nig. Limited on the 15th and 16th of September, 2017.
